Network Engineer

Citigroup, Inc. - 5/2004 - Present

Over the past 11 years I have supported or managed several Network Security technologies in an enterprise environment for Citi; including but not limited to Firewalls, Remote Access, Web Proxies, PGP, Electronic Data Interchange, and Secure Managed File Transfer.

Milestones:

  • Lead Developer/Engineer for Secure File Transfer and Symantec PGP Platforms supporting over 15,000 clients.
  • Managed global deployment of 25+ new proxy servers.
  • Managed the Global Firewall and Remote Access Operations team that supported firewall and remote access devices enterprise wide.
  • Deployed and managed Juniper SSL VPN Infrastructure globally.

AIG / ALICO - 7/1999 - 4/2004

During my time with AIG and ALICO I was solely responsible for the Cisco Network Infrastructure within our Wilmington Campus, Puerto Rico, and Toronto Canada offices.

  • Set standards and made recommendations for all remote office network designs.
  • Configured Cisco IOS VPN, Firewall IOS & Cisco PIX, and Raptor Firewall VPN Appliances.
  • Designed and implemented new Layer-3 Switching infrastructure for ALICO Home Office using Cisco 6500 with Sup720.
  • Designed and deployed data networks with highly redundant, multi-layer switched, and multi-cast enabled Gigabit networks.
  • Designed and deployed “Work at Home” networks using XDSL for last mile connectivity.
  • Converted entire infrastructure from Token Ring to Switched Fast Ethernet using Gigabit Ethernet for the backbone of the network, improving performance by over 75%.

Network Administrator

Kvaerner, Inc. - 4/1998 - 4/1999

I worked with Kvaerner, Inc. during their re-purposing of the Philadelphia Naval Ship Yard. Daily duties included site IT support for the Shipyard and Corporate offices downtown.

  • Designed, configured, and integrated internal LAN comprised of Windows Servers and Cisco switches.
  • Setup and maintained WINS, DHCP, TCP/IP, RAS, and DNS services.
  • Administered Internet Information Server, and related services.
  • Migrated email servers from MS-MAIL to MS Exchange.
